Artist Spotlight: Jen Knapp

Meet Jen Knapp, a Member Service Representative at the Gig Harbor branch whose love for Mt. Tahoma and the waters of the Puget Sound inspired TAPCO’s March 2026 sticker design.

Each month, TAPCO releases a custom sticker created by a local artist to celebrate creativity and the places that shape our community. These stickers have become a familiar sight in our branches and at events, connecting members through art and local pride.

This month’s design was created by Jen Knapp, a Member Service Representative at the Gig Harbor branch. Jen’s artwork reflects the natural beauty of the region and the sense of wonder many people feel when they see Mt. Tahoma rising above the Puget Sound.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I work as a Member Service Representative at the Gig Harbor branch, and I have always loved the outdoors and the natural beauty around us. The mountains and the Puget Sound are a huge part of why I love where I live. I have seen Mt. Tahoma nearly every day of my life and I am still in awe of it.

What inspired your design for this month’s TAPCO sticker?

This picture was inspired by a photo I took from the Fox Island Bridge. The view is amazing. Mt. Tahoma was here long before explorers and settlers, and the name Tahoma, meaning “The Mother of Waters,” really captures how important the mountain is to the surrounding communities and ecology.

The colors and light are always changing because of our weather. I wanted to capture that movement in the design. The rippling water, the shadows moving across the trees, and the way the colors on the mountain fade and intensify as the clouds roll in and out.

What does it mean to have your artwork featured as this month’s sticker?

I love that we use local art for our stickers. It is an honor to be one of the local artists featured. I hope people who see the sticker are reminded of how beautiful this place is and how lucky we are to live here.

Where can members find the sticker?

The March sticker is available at all TAPCO branches while supplies last. Stop by during your next visit and pick one up.

In recognition of Women’s History Month, we are also proud to highlight the creativity and contributions of the women who help serve our members every day. Jen’s design is a reminder of the inspiration that comes from both our community and the people who are part of it.
