There is a fresh reason to visit TAPCO Credit Union’s Frederickson branch. Cutters Point Coffee has officially opened inside the branch, bringing local coffee and financial services together in one convenient community space.
TAPCO’s Frederickson branch officially opened its doors in June 2025, at 176th and Canyon Road. The full-service branch was designed to be more than a place to manage finances. With a dedicated community room and space for a local business, it was created as a place where people could meet, connect, and feel part of the Frederickson community.
Now, that vision includes the welcoming aroma of freshly brewed coffee.
The opportunity began when TAPCO’s Jeremy Mandery introduced TAPCO President and CEO Justin Martin to the possibility of leasing the available business space to Cutters Point owners Justin and Lauren Himenes.
Bringing Cutters Point into the branch created a natural connection between two organizations that value relationships and local community. Members and neighbors can now stop by for thoughtfully sourced, small-batch coffee roasted in the Pacific Northwest, connect with TAPCO’s team, and take care of their financial needs in one location.
Celebrating a New Beginning
On August 26, the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber helped welcome Cutters Point Coffee to Frederickson with an official ribbon-cutting celebration.

Owners Justin and Lauren gathered with their three children to cut the ribbon and mark the beginning of this new chapter. Guests heard from the owners, enjoyed a special drink offer, and spent time connecting with the Cutters Point team.
TAPCO employees, board members, President and CEO Justin Martin, Frederickson Branch Manager Elizabeth Stewart, and the Frederickson branch team joined the cele
bration. Together, they greeted guests, connected with community members, and welcomed the Cutters Point owners and staff to their new space.
The afternoon was filled with positive energy and the excitement of new possibilities for the neighborhood.
Coffee, Connection, and Community
Cutters Point has built its cafés around the idea that coffee can bring people together. Its specialty coffee is sourced from around the world and roasted in small batches here in the Pacific Northwest.
That same people-first spirit fits naturally at TAPCO Frederickson. A morning coffee run can also be an opportunity to ask a financial question, learn about local resources, or simply connect with a familiar face.
The ribbon cutting marked an exciting new chapter for the Frederickson branch, bringing a local business and financial services together under one roof while giving neighbors another place to connect.
