A Legacy 26 Years in the Making
Twelve days later we’re still riding the wave of joy, creativity, and connection that swept through Tacoma during this year’s Art on The Ave. The energy was unmistakable, on top of good food everywhere you turned, handmade treasures at every booth, and a full spectrum of local art filling the streets. With over 200 vendors, five stages, live mural paintings, kid zones, music for all kinds, and more, the festival stretched across ten vibrant blocks and reminded us exactly why Tacoma’s creative heartbeat is so strong.
Art on The Ave has grown from a neighborhood gathering into one of Tacoma’s most beloved cultural traditions. Twenty six years later, it continues to be a place where artists, families, makers, musicians, and local businesses come together to celebrate what makes our city unique.
What Made This Year Shine
This year’s festival brought together an incredible lineup of experiences:
- 5 stages of curated music, performers and alternative arts
- A Community Dance Off
- Live mural paintings transforming walls into living canvases
- Hulu Hoop Workshops
- Dockyard Roller Derby
- Kid zones packed with activities and laughter
- 200+ vendors offering food, art, jewelry, crafts, and more
Every block felt alive as if it were a moving gallery of Tacoma’s creativity.
Community at the Center
The best part? Seeing our community show up. Business owners opened their doors, volunteers kept the day running smoothly, families explored together, and neighbors connected over shared love for local art. It was Tacoma at its finest.
Our Role & Gratitude
As the presenting sponsor, TAPCO Credit Union was honored to help bring this event to life alongside 6th Ave Business District, Tacoma Creates, E9, Brumley Law, and so many others. Supporting local arts isn’t just something we do, it’s part of who we are. We believe in investing in the people, stories, and creativity that make Tacoma home.
To the business owners, employees, volunteers, sponsors, artists, performers, and community members: thank you. Your energy made this year unforgettable.
Art on The Ave is much more than just a neighborhood festival; it’s a reflection of Tacoma’s identity. A reminder that when we come together, we create something beautiful. We’re already counting down the days until next year.
