How to Open a Youth Savings Account
Qualification and Documents Needed to Join:
- Social Security Number / ITIN: Social security number is required for opening an account for both youth account (owner) and adult account (joint).
- Government ID: Government-issued identification or driver's license required for the joint adult account.
- Adult Joint: You must be at least 18 years old and a legal U.S. resident to open an account, in order to be joint on youth account.
- Qualify for Membership: You must live, work, worship or go to school in the state of Washington or be a family member of someone who qualifies for membership.

*Open a new youth membership between 4/15/26-6/15/26 and receive a $50 bonus when you deposit $25 at account opening. Offer valid for new youth memberships and limited to 1 bonus per person. Savings accounts must remain open for one year or you will forfeit the $50 bonus at early closure.
