What you Should Know
The IRS is distributing a third round of Economic Impact Payments, also referred to as stimulus payments or stimulus checks. The IRS will be sending payments in waves, meaning it could take some time before you see your payment.
Will I receive a stimulus payment?
TAPCO is not able to confirm your eligibility. You can visit the IRS website and use the Get My Payment tool check your eligibility.
To track your stimulus payment through the Get My Payment tool, you will need to enter your Social Security Number, Date of Birth, Street Address and Zip Code that was listed on the last tax return you filed. The tool will show you the status of your first, second, and third payments, including when they were scheduled to process and which bank account they went to.
When will I receive my stimulus payment?
The IRS is working on processing the third round of payments. Once you have visited the Get My Payment tool and know if you are receiving the stimulus payment, you can log in to your TAPCO account via home banking or through our mobile banking app to determine if your payment was deposited. Direct deposit payments may take several days to post to your account. You may see a deposit anytime between mid-March and several weeks thereafter.
Please note that we cannot release deposits earlier than the IRS allows.
How will I receive my stimulus payment?
For most taxpayers, payments are automatically deposited in the same account used to file your 2020 (or 2019 if 2020 has not been filed) tax returns, with no further action required. If you did not use direct deposit for your tax return, a paper check or debit card would most likely to be mailed to the address on file at the IRS.
